A cut above the Rest We stayed at the Four Seasons Lodge in August and had the most incredible time. Every aspect of our stay had been catered to and prepared for in advance. Contact with staff even before we arrived had been excellent, and they really went the extra mile to ensure that our stay was memorable. Starting from our arrival, our brilliant, personable and knowledgable guide Zakayo was waiting at the airstrip with a marvellous packed lunch and champagne reception! Something we would never have expected in the middle of the jungle! We went on a game drive as soon as we arrived, seeing a variety of animals in safari. While I do admit it is often luck of the draw in terms of animals one sees here, Zakayo knew where we'd have our best chances of finding the animals we wanted to see (LIONS!) and we saw plenty of them! Every day! This is a task I feel, only the most experienced guides like himself would have been able to perform, and I have found this to be the case for most of the guides here. I cannot praise our guide enough, Zakayo, throughout the trip had been nothing but amazing. Very friendly and extremely knowledgeable, he really ensured that our safari experience was the perfect one! Every question we had asked, he had an answer to! It really was because of him that our stay was as truly magical as it was.
Zakayo - The most knowledgeable and nice Ranger!!! We stayed 7 nights and we had the most amazing time there! I am not going to elaborate on the stunning property, facilities and great customer service, I just wanted to mention Zakayo who was our ranger through out our stay. He was simply brilliant and there are really not enough words to describe his spectacular personable approach and depth of knowledge. Everyone in the lodge is extremely helpful and nice and they also deserve recognition, but given the time spent with Zakayo and also his incredibly genuine heartwarming hospitality, we thought he deserves a special "Thank you"!
Amazing staff My wife and I had a absolutely fantastic time at the hotel. We went there for our honeymoon and the staff made sure that we had a great time. Everyone there was very friendly and helpful. They gave us little surprises here and there throughout the trip to make it very special. It felt like they genuinely want you to have a great time. And the room and food was the best I have ever had on a safari trip (and this is my sixth safari trip!). A special shout out for our guide Zakayo who was incredible. He really does go to great lengths to find the things you want to see. He is also very knowledgeable and very fun to talk to. We had a blast with him. The only thing is that the migration herd only passes through the hotel at specific times of the year; we missed them by a few days. There were still plenty to see and we did manage to find the migration herd by driving a bit further away. But do plan when you want to visit if you want to see the migration just outside the hotel (I think late Nov might be better? I was there the first week of Dec).
