Our Story
African history expeditions was established right just after covid 19 by Zakayo Joseph, an expert Guide who had lost his job during Covid 19 and started African History Expeditions. During those difficult days he started to travel with locals, later on while tourism was recovering, he then expanded it to the world travel. He had worked with the top to the lowest companies in tourism industry. Along the way he had attained professional trainings, diversity of game drives experiences to provide quality services from basic, midrange to the super luxury budget.
Most importantly, the main reason why African History Expeditions was established was to cover all the challenges faced from game drive experiences, to provide outstanding communication during booking process, to provide best experience in best places, at a right time in a best price.
Our team is our backbone and we are pride in having a dedicated qualified guides, travel and tour consultants. Given them opportunities to grow and expand within or outside the company and to steer African history expeditions forward. It happens most of the times: Our guests arrive to Tanzania, a new country where they’ve never been, full of wonder, questions about all the animals they are going to witness and which amazing places they will be able to see. But at the end, when it’s time to say goodbye, it’s the connection with the guide that is more difficult to leave behind.
We are convinced the guides are the most important aspect of any safari. The vehicle must be in great condition, the operations must be on time and well organized. Extra luxury services we provide such as hot lunches should be in place. But if the guide does not provide a fantastic service, all that work is not enough.
